To Whom It May Concern:

My name is John Ryder (Kannechor), it has been brought to my attention that a slanderous rumor is being spread that Ch Kannechor Smokey Joe has been banned from the Kennel club for a mating that took place with his littel sister, for those of you that are novices & do not understand line breeding, this is not something you do repeatedly as it is a one off mating to produce a strong type, & with the siblings you breed back to a well bred outcross, this often happens with some of the top kennels of other breeds.

Two of these puppies went to ideal homes in Denmark, a bitch too Mrs Dorthe Jacobsen & a dog to Mr Claus Kammer whom are in process of starting their own lines, & in my view are doing the right thing.

Unfortunately slanderous rumours are being spread;

1. Mr Kammer has bred his young dog to his bitch & has beautiful litter of 10 puppies & has been criticised for mating, people have said that this dog was too young to be bred from; firstly it is obviously not a problem with the Kennel Club as they would have notified him regarding this maiting while registering these puppies.

2. The dog must have been mature enough to have produced 10 healthy puppies.

And now we come to Mrs Jacobsen, she has asked me to find her a dog which would be suitable for her Kannechor bitch that she acquired from me; I have recommended a dog to her which is a well bred outcross & contrary to whoever is spreading the rumour it is not closely bred & has no connection to my lines.

In England we find people start spreading rumours when we become a threat to them i.e. beating them in the ring & taking away their stud work.
I have taken legal advice on this matter of slander & should I hear anymore, I will go ahead with this case. We have a saying in England ´that people, who live in glass houses, should not throw stones`.
Ch Kannechor Smokey Joe has NOT been banned by The Kennel Club because if he had I am sure that I would have been the first person to know, anyone who wishes to speak to me about this matter so I can educate them further, feel free to contact me via the email address or telephone number given above (not behind my back as this is the cowards way).

I hope that I have now opened your eyes about line breeding.

Der er mange forskellige holdning og meninger omkring hundehold og opdræt i Danmark, og vi forbeholder os retten til at gøre det på vores måde.
Vores hunde er sunde og raske, er lige så intelligente, kærlige og venlige som andre hunde, godkendt som Import hunde og registreret i Dansk Kennel Klub, også til avl. Havde vi været helt gal afmacheret, ville vi som medlemmer af Dansk Kennel Klub, blive stoppet.
Hvis man bruger sin sunde fornuft, hvordan vil man så forklarer at en race som Staffordshire bull terrieren er opstået, den kan kun være opstået ved et godt og grundigt stykke avlsarbejde, med nogle linier man har avlet ind til den race vi kender idag. Det kaldes linie avl.
